Some of my favorite things this month...
1. The Zip Tote by Away Travel
Why I love my Away Tote...
Over the past few years, Away has blown up on the travel scene. I must admit, I fell in love. I secretly dream about having more Away suitcases (extreme travel nerd alert).
I have always, admittedly, been hesitant about getting their latitude and longitude totes because they did not have a zipper. They were gorgeous, but no zipper? I would never suggest having a bag that will have to be placed under/above your seat with all of your valuables rolling around as you fly with no zipper.
So, I was THRILLED when I learned about "The Zip Tote," which is essentially the longitude tote with water-resistant nylon, a trolley strap (to slide it on your suitcase), and -- yes -- a zipper! It has a section for your laptop, umbrella, and a couple pockets/compartments. It is simple, strong, and classic.
The best holiday present I received!

2. Vision Board/Manifestation Map on Canva
Why I LOVE Canva...
Canva is an amazing, creative platform that is perfect for any marketer, blogger, or creator. I've fallen in love with it during my Marketing/Comms masters degree!
AND it's free! Definitely check it out.
I also talk about it on my post about blogging here: www.meatonherbones.com/post/how-i-capture-edit-my-photos
The real reason that I am suggesting this site is because it is the new year, and a great place to put some of your favorite images together for a vision/manifestation board. Hokey, I know, but it is actually a really lovely concept! Putting together an inspiration board of some of your goals and dreams for 2021 is a great way to remind yourself of what you want and how you want to move forward. I found about 10 photos that spoke to me (some were mine, some were others) and I made a collage Desktop Wallpaper.
I will post more on my Instagram page about creating goals and boards in the new year!

3. Diffuser & Essential Oils
I dont know about you all, but I have been burning through candles lately.
Like, spending A LOT of money on candles. Not only is it an easy way to make my city apartment smell nice, but they have always had a calming effect for me.
This holiday season, I decided to try out a diffuser. I will probably still keep candles around, but so far I love it! It is nice to have one machine and multiple different scents to rotate between, depending on my mood.
Here is the one I received: www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Aromatherapy-Diffuser-Essential-Oil
This ones a steal, because 10 great oils are included.
Very affordable, very effective, and the perfect size!
I also heard great things about this one: www.amazon.com/Essential-Anjou-Humidifier-Consistent-Aromatherapy
Although, I have not tried it myself and it doesn't come with any oils!
4. Big Frank's BBQ, DC Restaurant
Why I love Big Frank's BBQ...
Run by pitmasters/partners Frank Boland and Jonathan Thompson, Big Frank’s BBQ is parked right down the street from Eastern Market at Valor Brewpub. The outdoor seating was a perfect, sunny spot to devour an AMAZING platter of different meats and sides. I’m not kidding when I say this is probably the best brisket I’ve ever had. The owners are SO kind- they truly care about BBQ and everything being freshly/perfectly smoked & made! Good bbq takes a lot of patience and care. Run here! Seriously!
What we ate: The a la carte platter with Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Pork Spare Ribs, Chicken, Candied Bacon, PLUS Mac with Brisket, Bacon Wrapped Jalapeños, Rosemarys Blue Cheese Coleslaw, Texas Chili AKA “Cup O’ Meat,” and Bourbon BBQ Beans
A bit more about Big Franks BBQ...
"Big Frank's BBQ was founded in 2015 by Pitmaster Frank Boland. Big Frank's BBQ is famous in the DMV area for its mouthwatering sides and meats, always cooked low and slow, never above 225F. Big Frank's BBQ is rooted in tradition yet elevated with innovative and quality ingredients. We look forward to welcoming you for 'swine dining.'"

5. Quinn Snacks
I am always on the hunt for some good snacks. Some people are "three big meals a day" kind of people, some are "5 small meals a day" kind of people" -- I am the latter (begin generous) but accurately might admit to being a "snacker."
For me, a good snack is a delicious, filling, and healthy snack. The perfect snack (for me and my tummy) is gluten free, high protein, and low fat. This makes it easily digestible, with a lot of bang for its buck. Berries fall into a similar category for me. While scouring Whole Foods, my roommate stumbled upon "Quinn Snacks" pretzel nuggets. They taste just like peanut butter filled pretzels, but they are gluten free and extremely low fat (compared to normal peanut butter snacks).
I am not lying when I say I currently have 4 bags of Quinn Snacks in my pantry. I take them on long flights when I dont know if I can trust the plane food (and want high protein), I take them on long car rides to have a low fat snack to continually munch on until my next gas stop, and I eat them almost everyday to refuel after workouts.
Probably my favorite snack we have EVER found! Not sponsored, just in love.
